CHANGES IN NAVAL COMMANDERSHIP.
LpNDONj October 30. It is officially announced that the following changes have been made amongst the naval commanders-in-chief, to take effect, early next year ; Admiral G. S. Bosanquet, to command Portsmouth. Vice-Admiral Lprd Charles Beresford, the Channel fleet. ', Vice-Admiral Sir C/'Drury, 'the Mediterranean fleet. Admiral Sir A. flryDurzon Lowe. the Atlantic fleet. Jw “ Rear-Admiral Sir. 3L.C. -Bridgeman, the Home fleet. —~ i Vice-Admiral Sir W. H. May becomes Second Sea, Lord!/ , \ ' Rear-Admiral A; Lf ’'WiirStoh'iias been appointed Fourth Sea Lord. Rear-Admiral Pnnc&Lfi,gis,pt Battonburg has been appointed second in command of the Mediterranean fleet. Rear-Admiral C. H. Adair succeeds Prince Louis of Battenburg in command of the second cruiser squadron. , Captain P. S. Inglefield, one of the Lords of the Admiralty, and Naval i Aid-de-camp to the King, commands the fourth cruiser squadron, vice Admiral Bosanquet.
