Foxton Mart Report.

Messrs Mounsey and Co. held the first of their regular monthly sales hero yesterday in Mr Geo. Co'ey's shed in Cook-street. There was a fine display of new furniture and a large attendance of the public. Dairy stock came forward very well but owners were inclined to place high reserves on these lines, consequently very few changed hands. However, it was very satisfactory to be able to record a good entry in all lines and we feel sure this will become a successful venture in a short time and reward this enterprising firm for assisting to push Foxton ahead. Dairy cows reached from £3 to £5; fowls, 5s per pair; and a quantity of household furniture, bicycles and sundries sold readily to spirited bidders. On Wednesday, 28th November, the firm will sell Mrs Whyte's furniture on the premises, near railway station.
