FOXTON ATHLETIC CLUB.
A meeting of the committee of the Foxton Athletic Club was held in Mr Gray’s Hotel on Tuesday evening. Present Messrs Wil-1 son (chair), Baker, Martin, Hadfield, Perreau, Shadbolt, Jillett, Frew, Sutherland and the Secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. It was decided that no player disqualified by the Foxton SubUnion be allowed to compete in the Footballers’ Race. The Secretary was instructed to purchase the required badges and numbers for use on sports day. The concert committee reported that arrangements for concert on night of sports were well in hand, that several outside singers had offered their services, and that this year the concert should be the most successful yet held by the club. It was decided that Mr Perreau be offered the refreshment booths on sports ground on the same terms as last year. Messrs Johansen, Osboldstone, Wilson and Knapp were appointed gatekeepers, and Mr Jillett bellman. Mr A. Shadbolt was appointed delegate to represent the club at the Athletic Conference to be held in Fielding shortly. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Hickson for his kiud offer to repair seats in Park.
It was decided that the committee, with the president, judge the baby show.
Votes of thanks to the chair and to Mr Gray for use of room concluded the meeting.
