CORRESPONDENCE.
[TO THE EDITOR.] Sir.—Through the ipedium of your paper I would like to draw the attention of your Foxton readers to the position of the Borough Band. The following agreement was entered into by the members of the Band with the Borough Council, “We the undersigned do hereby agree to receive from the Borough Council the band instruments enumerated in the band agreement, and to use same with every care. We also agree in the event of the band ceasing to exist, at any time, from any c.r/.se, to hand back to th. Council the said instruments and property in the same order and condition as received, fair wear and tear excepted.’’ There is no place provided for the sate storaee of this property, so it is at the mercy of all who may hapi en along. We are also indebted on account of these instruments and property (the V iln ; of which is over to the extent of about We appeal to a generous .public to assist us in procuring accommodation for this property and to give financial aid in liquidating the debt. Subscription H<Vs have been left with the -business people of the town, and the treasurer and secretary will Wait on the residents shortly, when I trust we will' receive substantial support from all who take an interest in our town and its various institutions.
