OBITUARY.
LEONARD LANGLEY, Aged 39 Years. It is with regret that we chronicle the death ot a well-known Foxton resident in the person of Mr Leonard Langley, at the comparatively early age of 39 years. Deceased passed peacefully away at his brother’s residence, Russellstreet, a few minutes before midnight last night. Some four years ago the late Mr Langley met with a serious trap accident and has been, under medical treatment since. About a month ago he underwent a severe operation, but there was no beneficial results. Deceased, who was born in Wellington, came to Foxton with ifis- parents as a lad, and has resided here ever since. He took a keen interest in all athletic affairs, and w T as at one time a prominent member of the local Rowing Club. He was of a cheery and energetic disposition, and was held in high esteem locally. He leaves a widow and seven children —the eldest of whom is eighteen years and the youngest four-—to mourn _ their loss. We, in common with all townspeople, tender the sorrowing widow and family our heartfelt sympathy in the dark hour of trouble. The funeral will take place next Sunday, and will be conducted by the Rev. Mr Southern, of the local Methodist Church, of which body deceased was a member and one time worker. We are requested to express the family’s thanks to Dr Mandhl for his cate and attention to the deceased sufferer.
