“ Evicted.*' The new and successful Irish drama deals with the cruelties practised by unscrupulous landlords upon their unfortunate tenants. However, thanks to the endeavours of an Irish peasant girl and her lover, assisted by a kindly Soggarth, the play ends with the imarriage of the hero and heroine and the removal to prison of their enemy, the wicked landlord, together with a villianous accomplice of his named Tim the Penman. There are very many exciting incidents in the play, notable among which is an eviction scene, a very realistic hay field scene, and a scene showing: an attempted murder in an old ruined mill. The scenic effects are very beautiful, several songs are introduced by the different characters, the stage effects are realistic, whilst the fun ot the piece is uproarious from first to last, “ Evicted ” will he staged at the Town Hall to-night.
