ALL SAINTS CHOIR CONCERT.

The above took place in the Masonic Hall on Tuesday evening and was a pronounced success. The programme was opened with a glee by the choir. Songs were contributed by Misses Scott and Haywood, Messrs 1,-yell, Hankins, Hare, and Sherratt. The dancing of a double hornpipe by Miss Rita and Master Vivian Crichton had. to be repeated. After an interval the humourous breace of promise case, Bardell v. Pickwick, was staged and created roars of laughter. The characters were sustained by Mrs Rodie (Mrs Bardell), Mrs Barnard (judge), Miss McMillan (Sergt. Buzfuzz), Mrs Clemett (Sussauah Tupman;, Miss Jeuks (Sam Weller), Messrs Watchorn (Picwick), Clemett (Sergt. Snubbin), W. Mitchell (crier), Hornblow (Winkle), and Misses Ross, Fraser, and Messrs Betty and Hankins (jury). Considering the short time that the company had to prepare the piece they did remarkably well, and some splendid histrionic talent was brought to light. We hope to have the pleasure of listening to something from this company again in the near future. The Rev. Mr Wilson presided and the accompaniments were played by Mrs Hankins, Misses McMillan, Haywood, and Messrs Berthold and Jenks. The promoters desire to' thank all. who assisted, especially those who came from a distance.
