POLICEMEN’S RIGHT OF EN TRY TO HOTELS.
Must Have Reasonable Grounds. Gisborne, Yesterday. At Gisborne the Magistrate dismissed a charge against a publican, ■ of refusing to admit a policeman without unnecessary delay. His Worship stated that it is clearly laid down that the prosecution must show that the constable had reasonable grounds to believe that the statute had been violated or was being violated.
