FATAL ACCIDENT.

Killed by an Explosion. Auckland, Sept. 24. A fatal accident occurred on the railway works at Raurimu on Saturday. A drive was being made through a hill. Two parties, working from opposite ends of the drive, had proceeded almost to the centre, and one of the parties put in a charge of dynamite. The explosion broke through the dividing wall of earth, and Thomas Henry Nicoll, aged thirty-five years, who was on the opposite side was killed. He was a single man.
