Masterton, This Day. Yesterday a man named James Downey pleaded guilty to a charge of forging and uttering a cheque for 16s lidon or about April 10th, 1905, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The amount of the cheque had been altered by accused from £7 to£i?-
