Foxton Racing Club.
The annual meeting of the Poxton Racing Club was neld at the Club’s rooms last evening, there being a good attendance. Mr Jenks was voted to the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The report and balance-sheet, as read and adopted, will appear in full in next issue. The election of officers took place as follows ; Patron—Mr J. Stevens, M.H.R. President —Mr F. Robinson. Vice-President —Mr W. Barber. Treasurer —Mr G. Gray. Time-keeper—-Mr C. Barnard. Clerk of Scales—Mr J. Symons. Clerk of Course—Mr C. Peterson, Auditors —Messrs P. Hennessy and F. E. Jenks. Nine members were proposed as stewards and committee, and on a ballot being taken the following were elected :—Messrs A. Laing, O. Robinson, C. Robinson, E. E. Jenks, A. Shadbolt, H. Austin and A. Symons. Messrs F. Easton and W. Cook were elected members of the Club. A vote of thanks to the chairman concluded the meeting.
