“ NEVER TOO DATE TO MEND,” A dramatisation of Charles Reade’s world - famous book, ‘‘Never too late to Mend,” will be produced at the Public Hall tomorrow night, and should prove a very attractive bill of dramatic fare, for the power and pathos of the romance serve as strong factors in the making of a good play. Mr Charlie Taylor plays the leading part of Tom Robinson, the goodhearted ne’er-do-well, whose doings in prison and in Australia make the romance so attractive, and Miss Carrington, as the unfortunate Josephs, has a very strong emotional part to impersonate. The management announce special scenery and realistic stage effects, so the drama will not only be well-played but well-staged. The admission rate and popular family concessions will be adhered to.
