American Tinned Meat Unsaleable.

NEW ZEALAND’S OPPORTUNITY. London, July 11. The Grocers' Federation has cabled to President Roosevelt stating that the tinned meat. trade is almost paralysed and they must stop stocking the American article unless the public is assured that it is wholesome. President Roosevelt has replied that under the new law he can guarantee the fitness of all canned meats bearing the Government stamp.
