Reciprocity.
AUSTRALIA AND NEW
ZEALAND
Melbourne, June 19
In the House of Representatives Mr Deakin, replying to questions, stated that under the reciprocity treaty with New Zealand (arranged during the late Mr Seddon’s visit to Melbourne, and to be laid on the tables of the New Zealand and Federal Pailiamsnts simultaneously) all the States of the Commonwealth would receive equal treatment. The treaty was closed in the sense that it would require the authority of the New Zealand Government to reopen it.
