The Meat Scandals.
New York, June 15. President Roosevelt entirely disapproves of the Meat Inspection Bill as drafted in committee. He declares it is inadequate to meet the circumstances at issue. Berlin, June 15. The Prussian Minister for Agriculture states that Germany has been aware for a long time of the Chicago meat works horrors but has refrained from denouncing the evil, but protected the German public from it.
