The Commonwealth has appointed Doctor Tidswell, Government bacteriologist in New South Wales, to take control of Dr Danysz’s experiments. DrDanysz will only be allowed to land his virus conditional on his handing it over to Hr Tidswell’s representative, to be bored in the Board of Health laboiaiory until further u piers ate received from the ViniMer of Customs. Under the Hew South Wales Microbe Act the virus cannot be used until regulations have been fromed by the Government and laid on the table of both Houses.
The Powerful, with the Admiral aboard, has sailed for a short cruise to Fiji. The Observatory predicts an anti-cyclone, of a pronounced character, now raging over Tasmania, to be the cause of heavy gales in the Tasman Sea.
