Nautical Nishap.
Sydney, June 6.
A cable has been received bjr underwriters that the French barque Cassard was wrecked at the Frankland . Islands. All hands were saved and landed at the islands. The Cassard was homeward bound from Sydney with a cargo of 27,000 bags of wheat. The cargo of the Cassard was shipped by McArthur and Company. It is understood to be insured in Lloyds, London, for about ,£20,000. The underwriters have also received cable reporting a fire in No 4. hold of the steamer Perthshire. Part of the cargo was jettisoned. Regarding the fire on the Wairaate, advices state it occurred in No 4 hold and was extinguished with slight damage. The vessel resumed her voyage, Brisbane, June 6. The Waipara was floated off and resumed her voyage.
Townsville, June 6.
The schooner Ivanhoe was vvrecked in the Solomon Islands. The crew have arrived at Cook* town. No details are available.
