All Saints’ Bazaar.
A meeting of All Saints’ Bazaar committee was held last night, when completed arrangements were for next week’s entertainment and sale. The show will be opened on Wednesday, June 6th, at 2.30 p.m. On Wednesday the cats will be judged and shown, and at night the men’s button sewing competition will take place, also the men’s nail-driving, and on Thursday night nail-driving for ladies. Apple-bobbing for boys has been added to the programme. Promenade music will be supplied under the direction of Mr Betty: and two children’s choruses will be given tbe second night. The ladies responsible for stalls, etc., will be as follows :
Needlework; Mrs Whyte and Mrs A. S. Easton.
Sweets ; Miss Bennett. Jumble stall: Mrs S. Hickson Pincushions: Mrs Barnard. Cat Show and Flower stalls Mrs Stewart.
Bran-tubs; Mesdames Jenks, Roc.ie, C. Robinson, and Miss Thynne. Refreshments: Mesdames C„ Symons jr., Chambers, and Miss Symons.
The ladies responsible, in each case, will have numerous junior assistants.
