Reconstruction.

TASMANIAN MINISTRY.

Hobart, May 1. ■ Owing to the defeat of the Attorney-General at the recent elections it has been neceesary to reconstruct the Cabinet, and the following rearrangement -has been made :

■ Premier and Chief Secretary— Hon. J, W. Evans, who has been Premier since 1904. Attorney - General Hon. W. B. Propsting, who was leader of the Opposition in 1902-3, and Premier and Treasurer from April, 1903, to July, 1904. Minister of Lands —Hon. A. Hean, who has been Minister of Lauds and Works, Agriculture and Railways, and Commissioner of Main Roads siuceljuly, 1904.

Colonial Treasurer —Hon. Mr Uuquhart. The Hon. W. Moore, who held the position of Chief .Secretary, remains in the Ministry without a portfolio.
