Sudden Death.

An elderly man named Carl Magnus Johnson, whilst walking along Main Street just before five o’clock last evening, dropped dead in front of Mr Healey’s chemistry. He was carried to the police station, where a post-mortem examination was held this morning. We understand the cause of death was found to be heart disease. Deceased, who was popularly known as “ French Charley,” has been resident in the district for a large number of years. He followed the cpoking profession at one time, but latterly has been aided by the old age pension. An inquest is being held this afternoon.
