Foxton Racing Club.
A Committee Meeting of the above Club was held yesterday evening. Present —Messrs Barber (chairman), G. Gray, A. Laing, O. Robinson, C. Robinson, H. Thynne, A. Shadbolt, C. Hunt and Secretary (Mr A. Keith.) Proposed by Mr Hunt, seconded by Mr Gray, That Secretary be instructed to write to the Wanganui Jockey Club re complaints made about A. Oliver’s riding in the Newmarket Handicap at the Foxton Meeting on 23rd January —The Stewards of the Foxton Racing Club after careful consideration are satisfied there was nothing to connect Oliver with any dishonest riding in the race mentioned. —Carried. The caretaker was instructed to get 15 or 20 loads of soil for topdressing purposes.
