Our readers are reminded of the • entertainment to be given in the Public Hall this evening. An extract from the Times speaks in flattering terras of the combination. A critical audience assentb’ed at the Opera House on Saturday evening and followed the injunctions of “ Panins ” to watch his endeavour to deceive the eye by the quickness of the hand* “Panins” who is no doubt the most clever entertainer that, has ever visited here commenced his refined and pleasing entertain* - mmt and went through his slight ~ of hand tricks with cards, watches, crockery, etc., in a marvellous manner, his illusions were a master; piece and the cleanness with which ■ the work is done fully merited the heirty applause given. His , Excellency,' the Governor and party were present at the performance. ‘ ‘ Paulus ”is pronounced by competent critics to be the acme of perfect mamlupation and a revelation in Human dexterity. “ Paulus ” will be assisted by high class Vauderville Artists among them ' fug Lm Wa 1 poles Society sketch artists and dancers direct from America. Miss Walpoles imitation of Mr Paul rendition of Star of My Soul, from the Ghesia, is worth going a long way to hear.’ The child coon singer little Ivy Duprez, Miss Coralie De Eeon, Ernest Montague vocalist, and others to numerous too specialise. We expect a bumper house to witness the initial performance this evening.
