Harvester Manufacture.

OPPOSITION TO THE INTERNATIONAL, COMPANY,

Sydney, March 17,

A firm of harvester manufacturers in New York has written to Sir Wm. Tyne, Federal Minister or Trade and Customs, asking .vhat inducements would be held out to the writers to establish a factor for the manufacture of the firm’s patent harvester. The machine in question can be sold in Australia for and if manufactured locally the farmers would obtain the machine at a less cost. The firm believes it could putlistance the International Harvester Company, which is making and exorbitant profit. The owners of the patent are willing to allow a company in Australia to manufacture the machines on payment of a royalty of £1 per machine.
