The City Liberal ' Association has resolved not to oppose Mr Balfour for a London seat.
Parliament was opened by Royal Commission, and the Right Hon. W. Lowther was unanimously elected speaker.
The Laborites took their seats below the gamvay and the Opbn the side near the Nationalists, Itis understood that Mr Asquith, Chancellor of the Exchequer, expects a surplus.
