Russia and France.
Paris, Februrry 13.
A Franco-Russian Commercial Convention was adopted by the Chamber of Deputies by 407 votes to 55.
Many Deputies complained at the absence of concessions, especially in regard to wines. . M. Ruau, Minister of Agriculture, replied that France was unable to offer reduction in the pretroleum and corn duties. It was impossible, he added, to ask for concessions incompatible with Russia’s fiscal system.
