The Government has evoked its proclamation under the Crimes Act, A reaction is apparent in Mr Balfour’s favour. The Times, Daily. Telegraph, Pall Mall Gazette, and Daily Graphic support Mr Balfour. The Mail blames the indiscreet followers ot the two leaders. The predomin-ant-feeling of the provincial newspapers favours Mr Balfour. The Nationalists interpret the revocation of the proclamations as the prelude to the repeal of the Coercion Act,
