Wellington. Feb. 5. A depu'ation fr an (he Young New Zi-alande s’ Land Settlement Association has be:-n interviewing the Minister for Lands re the subdivision and settlement of about two hundred thousand acres in the Lower Clarence Valley, of which thirty th msand arc freehold. The deputation also saw Sir Joseph Ward and asked him to acquire 100 acres at Kahntaia, the Bluff, for scenic purposes, and preserve the bush on the road to Blenheim.
