On referring to our advertising columns an advertisement will be found from the L. M. S. drawing attention to a very extensive Sale of Drapery and Show-room Novelties which will commence ou Saturday, January 20th, in Spelts’ Building, Main Street. We understand that the firm purpose opening permanently in Foxton, and to celebrate their opening in a fitting manner they have determined to hold a sale of such a nature that cannot fail to introduce them favourably to all the residents of the district. According to their advertisement a first-class stock valued at ,£1704 has been purchased by them for and we understand that if this realizes £IOOO they will be perfectly satisfied. Therefore a margin of nearly /700 is left absolutely to be given away. We predict an unusually big time for them on their opening day.
