Foxton Rifle Club.
A meeting of the Foxtou Rifles Club was- held. at Lcvett’s Manawatu Hotel on Tuesday evening, Mr G. Stiles being voted to the chair.
Messrs Stiles, Gray, and Austin were appointed a committee to attend to the mounds, the amount of cost not to exceed £5. The top of the butts is also to be raised to a required height. The Levin Trophy - Competition has been extended to finish on January 20th. Firing for same was fixed to take place on 13th at 5.30 a.m., on the 2.30 p.m., and at 5.30 a.m. on 20th. \
The secretary was instructed to purchase hemp lime required.' Mr Alex. Morgan was awarded
Mr E. A. Coley’s Cup. It was decided that a subscrip* tion be taken up with a view to erecting a memento to the late John Loftus Campbell. Votes of thanks to the chair and also to Mr Levett for the/ use of the room concluded the meeting.
