A man arrested for murder bribed an Irishman on the jury with .£2OO to hold out for a verdict of “ Manslaughter.” The jury was out for a long time, and finally came in with a verdict of 11 Manslaughter.” ■ The accused rushed up to the Irish juror and said, “ I’m obliged to you my friend Did you have a hard time ?” “ Yes,” said the Irishman, an awful time. The other eleven wanted to acquit yer.”
MR STEVENS’S STORY. Mr John Stevens, J.P., of Bulls* writes :—“ Some months since I had a severe attack of rheumatism, and was advised to try the efficacy of Rheumo.
