Foxton Athletic Club.
The Foxton Athletic Club committee met at Gray’s Hotel on Tuesday night, when there were present— L. J Furrie (chairman), F. Hadfield, M. Perreau, J. Jillett, J. Thompsom E. Howe, E. G. Sutherland, o.nd the secretary (F. Whibley.) The minutes ofthe’previous meeting were read and confirmed. The secretary was instructed to write the Band stating that 12 be the minimum number of performers at the sports. It was decided that the club’s banking account be transferred from the Pos ( t Officer to the Bank of New 2e?.iaftd, and the secretary and treasurer were empowered to sign cheques. The matter of providing tent accommodation for competitors was discussed, and arrangements re tarpaulins left in the hands of Mr Hadfield, that gentleman to report at next meeting. It was decided that the Council be yf written to re mowing at the Park also for the use of Park for Sports. Arrangements were with Mr Perrtiu to run the lu>ieh eon booth. Other minor business was transacted, and voAes of thanks to the Chair and to Mr Gray for the use of the room, concluded the meeting.
