CABLE NEWS.
Mr Seddon’s Frankness. London, October 17. The “Daily Chronicle” says;—Mr Seddon's inconvenient irankness is likely to lead the Government into political difficulties, since it would be indecent and scandalous for a moribund and discredited Government to summon a Colonial Conference. It is to be hoped the colonies will refuse. The “ Daily Mail,” publishes an officially authoritised statement that no invitations to a Colonial Conference have been issued. The Ottawa correspondent of the “ Morning Post ” reports that Sir Wiiirid Laurier has not received an invitation.
