Foxton Cricket Association.

The Foxton Cricket Association mef at Mark Perreau’s on Saturday evening, when there were present—Messrs Mamwaring and Barnard (Debaters), Fred f Shadbolt and Fume (Foxton), and E. Shadbolt and L. E. Reade bad been appointed to the Management Committee by the Foxton, Club; that he (secretary) hod prepared lists for subscriptions and handed them to the secretaries of the various clubs; also that hi bad waited on the Council in regard to the pitch and in replying to a question re funds for same had informed 4b® Council that a donation of the limestone, would be gratefully received by the Association, if the Council saw, fit to help in the matter. - The opinion of th® Council, however, seemed against • it. Mr Purrie gave notice of motion to the effect that after November Ist all players in the competition must be ptid up members of tneir - respective clubs and that any club placing unfinanolsl members Will be liable to disqualification for that particular m»foh. The next meeting of the Association was fixed for Monday, 23rd inst., at same place at 7.80 pan. Votes of thanks to the chair and to Mr Perreau for use of his room, con* eluded the meeting.
