A meeting was held in the Masoaic Hall on Tuesday evening ibr the pur-, pose of organising a local branch‘of.. -1 the N.Z. Farmers’ Union. Mr J. C. Pow er, Provincial, Organising Secretary. addressed the meeting on the objects and aims of the Union; '■ G? It was proposed by Mr seconded by Mr O. Robinson, That a branch of "the Union be formed .in Foxtor. Carried unanimously. 4 Mr 'i\. Frankland was electedSecje- ' ’ry. A c namittee was appointed, con- ' f sisting of the chairman (Mr B. Gower) ,TV secretary (H. Frankland), O. Robin* son, 11. Thynne, S. H. Baker, W. « Barber, W. Carter, and T.
