A meeting of the Foxton Rifle Club was held at Gray’s Post Office Hotel last evening, Captain O. Austin in the chair.' A resolution that the closillf nominations for (he medal competitidS be extended to sth October was carried. Ihe competition is to be finished on October nth; and the ranges are to be 200, 300, and 600 yards, seven shots at each range. In the previous competition, C. Rand was awarded first prize and 8 leg in for the cup, and W. Main waring second prize; The following scores were registered’
