M. de Brazza’s Inquiry Commission gravely indicts Gentil, the Agent General lor the General for the French Congo. The Parisian papers declare Gentil is a “monster ot cruelty, who hanged women by the feet until they were dead. He sacrificed 20,000 native carriers in transporting provisions for the troops to Lake Chad.”
