“Arrah-no-Pogue.”
On Thursday evening next the popular Taylor-Carrington Company make a welcome re-appearance at the Public Hall, Foxton, when the late Dion Boucicault’s poetic Irish drama "Arrah-no-Pogue" will be staged. This talented company is so thoroughly at home in Irish drama that they may' be relied upon to give a competent and sympathetic rendering of this most famous play. Mr Charlie Taylor and Miss Ella Carrington sustain the characters of Shaun and Arrah respectively. The “ Times of India ’’ in commenting on the performance of these two clever artists, says;—“ Mr Ghas. Taylor and Miss Ella Carrington are certainly two of the best delineators of Irish character that have ever visited India, and their performance last night raised them even higher still in public estimation than they were before." It only remains to add that special reduced prices for children are advertised in another column.
