TOWN CLERK'S REPORT. 1 beg to report that acting on a resolution of the Council, I have gone into the matter of curtailing the boundaries of the Borough, and beg to make the following suggestions for the proposed alteration. Take a line from the river up Purcell street as far as Nye street, through Nye street to Union street, up Union street to No. 6 Line, along No. 6 Lint' to present Northern boundary, retaining the present North end so far as to include the racecourse, and from thence along the railway line to river bmk. This alteration would involve a loss of rates amounting to £166 ys 6d per annum, and lessen the population by about 150. The present total rate at is 3d realises £594 7s 6d, ; the above alteration would reduce the amount to £428. I also have to report having sold the hay in the cemetery to J. W.
