rftANNUAL. MEETING. The annual meeting of the Foxton Athletic Club was hold last evening in the Racing Club rooms. Mr J, Frew occupied tho chair. The minutes of tho last general meeting were read and confirmed. The balance-sheet, showing a credit balance of £5 odd on the year’s working, was adopted as read. Mr Frew explained at length matters in connection with the cycle track improvements, ELKCTtOX Of officers. Mr E, Ci. Sutherland resigned from the position of secretary, and Mr J. Jillett y as unanimously appointed to tfi6 position, Other officers appointed were ; Ration—J. Vile, Esq., M.H.R. President—Mr G. A. Simpson. Vice-Presidents —Messrs B. Gower (Mayor), T. Haywood, S. Hickson, A. Laing, G. Gray, W. Stewart, F. W. Franklancl, J. Symons, A. King, J, Stevens, A. Reeve, 0. Robinson. Committee —Messrs L. J. Furrie, J. Desmond, R. Baker, J. Frew, M. Perreau, A. Shadbolfe, E. G. Sutherland, F- Hadfield, E. Howe, Frank Whibley, S. Wright, L. Wilson. Markers—Messrs J. Desmond, S. Wright, R, Baker, Fred Sbadbolt, B. Dunn. Judges-Messrs W. Baker, S. Hickson, A. Laing, A. Reeve, R. Noonan, L. E. Eeade, W. Walden. Treasurer —Mr Healey. Trustee —Mr R. Noonan. Auditors—Messrs G. Gray and J. Overend. Starter—Mr A. Sbadbolt. Time-keepers—Messrs C. Barnard and Ern. Smith. The matter of handicapper came up, and a motion that Mr Ulic Shannon be appointed, was lost, and the secretary was instructed to write Messrs Burbush, Armir., and Watts in connection with same. Votes of thanks to the retiring secretary, the chairman, and to the Racing Club for the use of the room, concluded the meeting.
