Southland, played yesterday in beautiful weather. The teams, as regards weights, wore evenly ma:ohed, and a well contested game resulted in a draw-six points each. Shortly after the commencement of play Clark registered the first try far Southland from a brilliant dribbling rush. This was followed shortly afterwards by another try gained very luckily through the medium of Laing, which was unconverted.
