MR FRANKLAND AT FOXTON. Mf F. W. Franklaad, the Independent Liberal candidate for the Manawatdieatat the forthcoming general elections, opened the campaign on Tuesday evening when be addressed a very fair audience In the Masonic Hall. Mr R. Moore occupied the chair and the candidate, who was well received, spoke at some Jenrfh on matters already briefly outlined in the Herald. Owing to stress of work wo are nnable to publish the address in extenso to day, but In our next issue the full text will appear. No questions were asked, and a vote of thanks for his address and confident In Mm as a candidate was accorded Mr Frank land, on the motion of Messrs A. Jonson, sen., and J. Cameron.
