Bachelors Ball
A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. Last night * gay throng filled the Public Hall on «• occasion of the halt tendered to the ladies of Foxtou torffoe bachelors, Weathor condilot improved as That when the arrived folly tw# hundred ptesenf, and the function pWMJ highly sdccessful. The M s.C., MeMfi B. G. Cower, 0. Robinson, and G. Barber, were assiduous in their attentions td the guests, and all were unanimous iti forming the affair a great success. Supper Wai *JW>d on the stage and the many tempting delicacies were much appreciated. The committee were largely assisted in thie connection by the caterer, Mr M. PerreWi All the members of the committee worked hard to ensure the success of the ball, and to the secretaries, Messrs Gower and Rohmsen, a word of special, mention is dwe, which to Mr Mawwanng, their ngnthand wen, «n owe thwke for attention to those detail# which go to the making of an enjoyable evening.
