An Established Church Assembly -fitting at Edinburgh resolved to apply to Parliament for power to modify the -ense in which the Confession of Faith is accepted. An unusual incident happened at the Manaia public pound on Sunday morning. An individual who had had bis stock.impounded made a demand on the Poundkeeper to release the stock. The Rome correspondent of the “ Cork Examiner,” reports that the Pope has dismissed the Marquis McSwinney, Chamberlain of the Cape and Sword at the Vatican, on account of the version of an interview between his Holiness and Mr J. E. Redrnand. M.P., leader of the Irish Nationalist Party, which the Marquis commnnicatecl to the press, representing PiusX, as favourable to Home Rule.
