Ox hinds 180-220 lbs f.a.q. il jd per lb. Fores 2-J-d. N.S. frozen crossbred lamb, prices are firm. N.Z. prize crossbred mutton (light weights) market firm owing to light arrivals. Heavy weights, poor demand for large supplies.” Wool sales opened with a fair selection. Large attendance of hovers and competition animated. Merino wools, prices are on the averat par to 5% higher than closing rates of last- series. Fine crossbred wools, prices are on the average 10% higher than closing rates of last series. Medium crossbred wools. 0% to 10% higher. Coarse crossbred wools, 6 per cent higher. Wool sales continue with an upward tendency. Tallow-—Market quiet. Buyers holding off’ for lower prices. Mixed, good to prime, lower by 3d since our last telegram. Other descriptions, prices unchanged.
