Silver Cradle.

0A SUGGESTION. "" TO THE EDITOR OF MANAWATU HERALD Sir, —Snmeiime ago I read in a local in your paper that something was being done in the matter of presenting a “ Silver Cradle ” on the occasion of the birth of a son during your late Mayor’s term of office. Being a time honoured custom it should not- be allowed to pass unnoticed, and I would therefore suggest that you open a subscription list, and will be glad if you head the same with a donation of 20s from me. —I am, etc., J. A, Nash. Palmerston North, April 27th. [We shall be pleased to undertake the task suggested.— Ed. M.H.]
