IN tha matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1900, and the Local Elections Act, 1904* ~r hereby give public notice that the _L following persons have been duly nominated for the office of Councillor for the Borough of Foxton, namely : AUSTIN, HERBERT AUSTIN, OLIVER EDWARD BAKER, SAMUEL HENRY COLEY, EDWARD ARTHUR COLEY, GEORGE CHARLES FRANKLAND, FREDERICK WILLIAM FREW, JOHN GRAY, GEORGE ALEXANDER MOORE, REGINALD NYE* GEORGE SHADBOLT, ALFRED EDWARD SPEIRS, ALEXANDER spring, Charles STILES, GEORGE HENRY As there are only nine vacancies to be filled, I hereby give notice that a poll will be taken as between the said candidates on Wednesday the 26th day of April, 1905. I have much pleasure in announcing that I shall be a candidate at the coming election. lam not an orator and the ratepayers must judge me by my past deeds as a Councillor, Having only missed one general meeting during the four years I have been in the Council shows I have not neglected your interests, and the minute book will, I think, prove I have been an industrious Councillor. I am in favour of progression and any scheme for water, lighting, or any other new works authorised by a majority of of votes, will have my support.
