At Sydney on Saturday last, Duffey was beaten in the rooyds sprint by N. Barker easily in xo x-sth. The latter also won the 73yds in Ssec, Shrubb won the mile in 4.26 but was beaten out of a place in the five mile, won by Murray, New South Wales. Shrubb protested on account of the event beingruninsemi darkness, and it is likely the race willl be re-run. Shrubb, who did not finish, was giving the winner 3mm 35«ec start.
