Rifle Shooting.
HIMATANGI v. FOXTON RIFLE CLUBS. A match was fired yesterday on th« Himatangi range between teams from the Himatangi and Foxton Rifle Clubs, ending in a win for the home men by 15 points. The day was not calculated to encourage good markmanship, a. strong wind and a drizzling rain making matters very uncomfortable and at times almost obscuring the targets, especially towards the end. Detailed scores were as follows HIMATANGI.
The Foxton Defence Cadet* suffered defeat at the hands of one of the Palmerston Cadet corps last Saturday by 40 points^ The Campbell street (Palmerston) schoolboys arrive by train to-morrow night, and will fire a friendly match with the local school cadet corps on Saturday morning. The boys will be housed out.
