THE BEACH RAILWAY.
In another column it is stated that the Premier has agreed to meet a depiu tatiou, in company with the Minister for Puelic Works, regarding the construction of a railway from Foxton to the Manawatu Heads, this month. It is anticipated that a strongly representative deputation will be sent to Wellington, and it now remains for the people resident in the districts interested to strengthen the hands ot the deputation by signing the petition urging the Cabinet to build the line. Copies of the petition lie at the Herald office for signature, and we trust as many as possible will make it their business to append their names thereto.
