Football.

Minor matters only were dealt with at the meeting of the Awahou Club on Thursday night. The meeting of the Old Boy’s Club, called for last night, fell through, owing to an insufficient number putting in an appearance. It is always the same in football matters. Toe* bailers never like attending meetings. However, it is understood the Old Boy’s Club intend challenging Awahou to a friendly game next Saturday. As the different Club delegates meet in Foxton on that evening to consider the matter of affiliating with the Manawatu Union, additional interest should be centred in the contest set down for decision Awahou v. Old Boys. There is no apparent reason why two good teams could not be got together in Foxton itself. Awahou and Porotawhoa are matched to try conclusions this day fortnight, 15th April.
